That is certainly what they want you to believe!
Chase has done over 138,000 mortgage modifications, if you beleive their press releases.
Does not seem to me to jive with the government figures, unless all the other mortgage companies are not doing much.
Of course, the mortgage companies define any change as a modification, even when they increase the payments.
